In 1994, two farming families combined their resources and HyLife was formed. HyLife Foods produces only one product – pork. And, they do it very well.
At HyLife, nothing is left to chance. They manage their own farms at the highest level. They locally source and mill their own feed. They operate their own trucks and equipment. All HyLife pork is completely traceable from farm to store.
On select isolated farms in the wide-open prairies of Manitoba, they breed and raise their hogs without the use of antibiotics. Additionally, similar to all hogs in Canada, they never receive added hormones. They are fed a vegetarian diet consisting of regionally grown grains and vegetable oil sources. They are never fed any animal by-products.
The result is exceptional taste and generous ‘marbling scores’ – a measure that is typically reserved for premium steak, not pork.
