Cook for the Cure: Culinary Showdown

November 14, 2015 – LiberTerre was a proud sponsor of The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Cook for the Cure: Culinary Showdown. Now in it’s third year, this interactive culinary event raised an  impressive  $730,000 for Breast Cancer Research.

Held at the Westin Harbour Castle, an all-star line-up of chefs from the Food Network (including, Lynn Crawford, Elizabeth Falkner, Marcus Samuelson etc.) joined fifty fundraising foodies to compete in a live cooking competition like no other! This extraordinary challenge gave culinary enthusiasts the opportunity to cook alongside celebrity chefs in a chopped-style competition.


Our LiberTerre Pork was featured in the appetizer round as a “Mystery Ingredient.” The chefs and fundraisers expertly incorporated our LiberTerre Pork Jowls, creating five different yet delicious dishes in less than 20 minutes! In the end, Chef Marcus Samuelson took home the top prize – congratulation to both you and your team!
